Community Midwives

The midwife has two clinics a week,and,books them herself.If you are pregnant, the GP can refer you to the midwife for the continuing care.You can self refer via the Midwifery self-referral.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.

The Health Visitors have a weekly Baby Clinic at Community Clinic at Barkerend Health Centre on Mondays, 9.30-11.30am (Bluebell Building - Health Education Room.)
